Here’s a glance at our exciting and environmentally-friendly choices.

Cork flooring: Cork flooring comes from a sustainable oak tree (Quercus Suber) that will regenerate itself after each bark harvest. During harvest, each tree is stripped of its outer bark while leaving a protective layer of its inner bark. These trees can be harvested once every 9 years from the time they are 20 years old until they are 150 years old. That’s a lot of cork! Recycled flooring: Our main flooring manufacturer, Mohawk Industries is truly embracing the three Rs. They reduce the amount of waste by recycling old carpets and other plastics to make new carpet and cushion, and reusing 100% of water during ceramic tile production. Sustainable cabinetry: Both of our cabinet manufactures, Fieldstone Cabinetry and Showplace Wood Products, are ESP (Environmental Stewardship Program) certified. That means they are using sustainable practices and products. One of our most eco-friendly hardwood choices is Lyptus. The DuPont Corian Terra Collection provides long lasting solid surface countertops that contain pre-consumer recycled materials. This countertop earns point under the LEED Green Building Rating System.
